An Antique 2 Player Burr Oak Life Pool Board & Till by Mawson.  This 2 player life pool board & till in burr oak by Mawson was made circa 1870.  This lovely burr oak life pool board with original pointers and makers plate has 10 sliders and coloured buttons to allow upto 10 players to play Lifepool.  Mother of Pearl discs sit behind the labelled sliders to depict the 3 lives each ball has during the game of LifePool.

A numbered roller top and bottom allows for the scoring of snooker, these rotating each time a multiple of 20 is reached to reveal the next line of numbers, with the original pointers used to track the score.

Each frame or game can be recorded on the slate board situated in the centre of the scoreboard

Slots in the top of the till, allow players to place their bets on the game at hand and tilting tills on each side of the ball storage central section allow the winnings to be retrieved.

Lifepool is a game played before snooker was invented, also known as pyramid pool or a more modern name of 'Killer' and is played with anywhere between 2 - 10 player.  The balls are divided between the players in secret, each player not knowing what the other players colours are and the object of the game is to pot your opponents balls before you lose the 3 lives you have.  In the original game, the winner of the game wins the pool of money, hense the name of LifePool.

This is an outstanding piece of furniture in its own right and would make any traditional games room look outstanding.  A lot of fun for all the family regardless of skill level.
