M1077 - Mahogany Bar Billiard Table
This beautiful mahogany Bar Billiard table manufactured by Jelks, has an octagonal leg and is fitted with its original timer mechanism which runs for the duration of the game (approx 12 mins) and then drops a trap to stop the balls from being re-distributed at the base. This has been made to function without the need for coins to operate, making it ideal for home use.
The bar billiard table can be positioned against a wall or in the corner of a room as it only needs access from one end of the table to be able to play. This antique Bar Billiard table comes supplied with bar billiard balls, bar billiard skittles/mushrooms, 2 x cues, chalk and rules of the game of bar billiards.
The Bar Billiard table will be fully restored, including re-polishing, new rubbers and new cloth in a choice of colour (click here for available cloth colours), why not make it a more modern looking table by having red or purple cloth fitted?

The game of Bar Billiards was first introduced to the UK in 1934 when Bar Billiards Ltd and Jelks worked together to manufacture the first Bar Billiard table aimed at the pub trade. Bar Billiards soon became extremely popular and tables were soon being made by Sam Bros, Jelks, Rileys, Bar Billiards Ltd, Ashcroft and E. A. Clare. The game was based on a game played in Northern Europe called 'Billiard Russe'. Sam Bros tables were called 'SAMBROS' tables or 'Automatic Billiard' tables
