How to watch the 2020 Snooker World Championship

The 2020 Snooker World Championship will be held at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and safety guidelines, it is still unsure if fans will be allowed in while social distancing from each other or if the championship will be played behind closed doors without a crowd.

The 44th staging of this event will begin on Friday 31st of July at 10 am and ends on Sunday 16th of August with the final session starting at 7 pm.

Where to watch?

Both Eurosport and Eurosport Player will be broadcast the full 17 days of the event. Highlights and reports of the matches will also be published online on the Eurosport website.

What about the qualifiers?

The Snooker World Championship qualifying event will take place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield between 21st July and 28th July. This event will be streamed online on Eurosport and Eurosport Player for snooker enthusiasts across 50 territories in Europe.

All matches will be best of 11 frames until the final round which will be best of 19 frames. Session times each day will be from 1.30 pm to 7 pm until the final round which is 1 pm to 7 pm.
